From the Artist: As a female artist, I believe embodying a change in the way women are viewed is my province. Women need to band together to love ourselves and each other more than we do. We need to embrace our bodies and acknowledge and accept our differences.

All the women in my paintings are faceless and brightly colored. The reason for this is because my work is meant to be a representative of not one woman, but of millions.
The women depicted represent any woman who has ever felt ashamed, demeaned, insecure, overweight, underweight or less in any way than she really is.

The series for this show is all about women who are survivors of violence. Each of them have exposed parts of their stories and themselves as a way to bring awareness to a severe and ongoing problem.

Each painting will be accompanied by a piece of poetry to express a few of the emotions they might have experienced and how it has affected their lives.

40% of any proceeds from this series of work will be donated to Mile High Behavioral Healthcare: Miracle program A rehabilitation center and safe house for women.

**Given the sensitive nature of the exhibit, photography of the art work will be allowed but not of guests.**
